Some Marketing Strategies Never Grow Old

By kbushey | April 18, 2010

How many of your prospects do you lose because you give them up too easily? Every salesman loses business by becoming too easily discouraged. Oftentimes a prospect will tell you “no” when he really does not mean it. He/she is waiting for some further reason, advanced by you, in order to satisfy himself thoroughly that he should take up our proposition.

As long as there is a flicker of interest in your prospect you have no right to leave him. Be persistent, but at the same time diplomatic. Come back at him from another angle and hammer along those lines that you know are of greatest interest to your prospect. You leave lots of prospects who are almost persuaded; a little more thought on your part, a little more persistency, and a little more diplomacy will close many an order that otherwise is lost.

Work up a fighting spirit—that “never-say-die” spirit will carry you through and turn your failures into success.

Hammering your points home can be done so much easier today with auto-responders that get you in front of the prospects in a systematic and consistent basis.  If you’re not using an auto-responder, you need to be.  One great easy system to use is Aweber.  Don’t miss out on getting new customers by giving up on the old school methods. Get your autoresponder system in place today. It’s cheap but powerful!
