Q: Is it a little easier for most people to fathom,  knowing at least they’re going to have one hot meal out of their three meals in a day if they juice?

A: That’s right.  There are people who say to you Oh, how – where – where are you going to get all your protein if you don’t eat any meat?  Well, the – the object is that by cutting out your dairy products, there are soy products that you can get.  There is protein there, there is protein in your barley, in the green foods that you eat.
And so there’s plenty of protein, you don’t really have to worry about that, that’s not really a concern.  The object is that a lot of people say Well, gee, you can’t just eat what – you know, part of the problem with people is that we’ve been eating the wrong kinds of food at the same time.  We have acid in our system, and that acid is made to digest – help digest your food.  When you mix foods that are not really supposed to be eaten together, when you eat too much protein and too much carbohydrates, then the acid in your stomach – for instance, meat takes a certain kind of acid to digest it, so when you’re eating meat, your stomach acid is used to digest that meat. But then, when you throw in another product, a carbohydrate for instance, then you’re needing a different kind of acid.  And, of course, it makes it very difficult for – that’s why people feel bloated, they feel gassy, when they eat because they have used the wrong mixture of food.  But only by studying these books and – because other people and nutritionists have done double-blind studies to determine what are the best foods that your system can digest.

You know, that the human body takes a tremendous amount of energy to digest the foods that we eat.  They say a large percentage of our energy is used in digesting the foods.  That’s why there are so many people that have heart attacks immediately after they’ve had a big meal, because the stomach is working overly hard and it puts – taxes the heart and, of course, the heart attack occurs.  Well, by eating the proper food mixture, you lighten the load and, of course, your quality of life will be a lot better and a lot longer.
